Observatory - Astronomer's Observatory

My 9-year-old needed almost no help from me, which says a lot since this kit has real moving parts. The dome actually rotates and the telescope tube pivots smoothly, so it's not just a display piece. She's been using it to "track" planets across her bedroom wall all week.

Took an afternoon to put together, but watching the gears click into place finally made the whole observatory concept click for me. It’s the kind of build that makes you feel like you’ve actually engineered something.

The dome assembly was the highlight—watching the gears click into place felt genuinely satisfying, and the instructions made it easy to follow even for a beginner. I’ve built a few kits before, but this one’s engineering focus really sets it apart. Solid quality for the price.
