Strobe Light Animator - Light Refraction

The strobe light makes the spinning disc look frozen, which is honestly kind of mesmerizing. Building it took my son and me about an evening, and the light refraction part actually got him asking how mirrors work. Way cooler than another plastic toy.

My kid spent an hour just adjusting the strobe until the falling water looked frozen mid-air. The refraction setup actually teaches something real about how light bends, not just a flashy toy. Assembly took us about 45 minutes together, which was half the fun.

Watching the strobe catch each drop of light mid-air is pure magic—my daughter kept re-running the demo. The build was straightforward, and the refraction wheel is cleverly designed. Great way to see physics in action.
