The disco twist on a generator build got my kid way more excited about wiring than I expected, and the lights actually spinning when it's cranked sealed it. Took us about an hour to assemble, which felt just right for a rainy afternoon.

My 11-year-old and I just finished this build together, and the moment we cranked it and the lights started flashing we both cracked up. It’s a clever way to see how a generator actually works without it feeling like homework.

Leo ★★★★★

The disco twist on a generator is such a clever way to teach circuits—my kid kept asking to build "one more step" and actually understood what the gears did by the end. Great hands-on engineering fun for both of us.
